Wir hatten hier schon einmal Shigeru Miyamoto erwähnt, den Schöpfer von Super Mario, dessen eingängige Titelmelodie im Netz unzählige Variationen erfährt (wie zum Beispiel die von Greg Patillo).
Gewusst hatten wir allerdings bis vor kurzem nicht, wer eigentlich der wahre Schöpfer des Klangwunders Super Mario Theme ist, dass NES-Freunde über Jahre hinweg unaufhörlich summten. Wired klärt uns nun auf: Er heißt Koji Kondo. Zwei Jahrzente lang, ab 1984, blieb der 46-Jährige bei Nintendo, und komponierte in dieser Zeit unter anderem auch den Theme Song zu Legend of Zelda.
Auch heute noch ist sein Super Mario Borthers Theme Song ein Hit: Als Klingelton. In den Billboard Ringtone Charts ist Koji Kondo seit 155 Wochen vertreten, sagt Wired; gleich zwischen den Black Eyed Peas und 50 Cent.
